Somewhere I can let out my inner crafter without being labeled as even more insane.

Picture splurge!

So, long time no see (again!). But, I have been busy. So here’s a catch up of what I’ve been up to:

cross stitch:

Christmas tree decoration cards

Christmas tree decoration cards

Having seen these in a magazine, I thought they would make pretty cool Christmas cards which wouldn’t just be thrown away after Christmas. Of course, fairly soon I was distracted by the fact that I graduate this September, and therefore it would be pretty nice to make something for some of my lecturers. So I made this, a post it note holder

And made up

All nicely made up

Here are some others, not yet made up

Post-it note covers

They’re great fun, and don’t take that much time either 🙂

I’ve also done a smidgen more on Spirit, but not really enough to warrant another photograph. And I’ve done lots more on Frederick, but I put him down somewhere, and of course can’t remember quite where! But it’s coming along very well. I also did a key ring of a bicycle for my mum, but she’s out at the moment so no photo of that either.

I’ve also been doing some knitting, but that has taken a bit of a back seat to cross stitch and life :P. My mum wanted a balaclava for her birthday, since her previous one had stretched a lot, so here’s a photo of her modelling it for me 🙂

So she’s very happy. You can’t really see it in this photo, but the yarn is lovely and slightly sparkly :). I also have a pair of socks on the go

red_socksgetting done 2 at a time 🙂

I have been doing more knitting, but I haven’t had a chance to take any more photos, since I’ve been so busy with life. But, that’s all sorted (mostly!) until I go up to York for my PhD in September. Woot!

I’ll try to have a proper catch up soon, just wanted to get all this out before I completely lost interest in blogging!

See ya all later
