Somewhere I can let out my inner crafter without being labeled as even more insane.

Blanket stripe finished

So, I decided I didn’t want my scrappy blanket as large as my current one. This is for a variety of reasons- I figured that my current blanket might as well live on my bed- it’s lovely for snuggling under then, but really a bit too heavy for watching TV under (and a bit big!). Also, when sitting at my desk, I wrap it around myself, and it’s too wide. So I figured that I might as well make this blanket a lap blanket, and so it’s going to be considerably narrower 🙂

So here is the first strip in all it’s glory 🙂

I don’t know how many stripes I need(although this length also works as the width…), it’ll be a keep going until I like it (and then start the next one!) I have an idea for a scrappy entrelac blanket, with each square a different yarn. And I’ve seen a crochet pattern for hexagons, so that’s also an idea. But first I need to finish this blanket!
