Somewhere I can let out my inner crafter without being labeled as even more insane.

As mentioned a while ago, I might end up doing one of my new cross stitch tree decorations as an instant gratification thing in the middle of all my long term projects (socks get worked on so intermittently at the moment they’re long term projects, as weird as that sounds).

So I decided to pull out the stockings and start working on them (conveniently forgetting that cross stitch is slowwwwwwww). One has been finished, and the other has been started (excepting the back stitching, which I’ll do at the end because that uses different numbers of threads and I can’t be bothered to deal with that πŸ˜€ )

It’s been a bit of a learning curve, dealing with prepunched holes in specific places, and keeping track of whether a stitch can go in particular places or not. I’m not sure that this is my favourite medium to cross stitch (ok, I’m fairly certain it’s not), but once in a while it’s fun to do πŸ™‚

Ok, I guess that playtime is over and I should go back to the big projects πŸ˜€
