Goodbye 2018, hello 2019
Soooooooo, 2018 wasn’t anywhere near as productive as I expected…oops. Having had a quick look at what I wanted to do, let’s not dissect that too much. Instead, let’s look at what I did finish!
11 projects on ravelry (7 pairs of socks, a cardigan, a bird, a pillowcase and a head band)
7 cross stitch projects- Preparation, the wolf and 5 cross stitch ornaments (none are finsih-finished and they’ll be staying in Bristol until they are done, so oops…)
Scissors keep.
Variety of spinning but nothing really worth mentioning I think
(I’m still aiming to finish Breathe before the end of the year…)
Hmm. B- in total I think. Really should do better next year.
Next year I need to
-finish the wedding sampler
-Baby things (this also involves working out what baby things I want to make…)
-Replacement blanket for a friend who had to abandon the last one I made (I told her to, this is definitely not indicative of her not being knit-worthy, please don’t suggest that in the comments)
-Socks for the mother’s presents
Not vital but really want to
-Paris sweater
-Stars
-OLAS cardigan
-Blanket I have to crochet
-Black cats cross stitch
In general I also think I want to focus more on larger projects rather than the socks/cross stitch ornaments I’ve been defaulting to. The knitting will be relatively straightforward I think (excpet for the 400g balls of yarn I have for OLAS), and if I ever go anywhere and decide to take cross stitch with me, I’ll take the little stockings I want to finish to make into an advent calender.
I’m also going to go back to the monthly goals. I really enjoyed being able to see how much I’ve done (or not done) and having a direction to go in in my crafting. I can’t remember why I stopped doing them, but let’s start them up again for January. So expect a blog post about that near the start of January 🙂
