Ding! You’ve got mail
So, last week I mentioned that I won *Wishers* giveaway, and ever since then I’ve been stalking the postman to see if he is bringing me my goodies today! Well, yesterday, my package arrived. Yay! I may have had a slight fangirly moment 🙂
First off was a cute tag with a little message from *Wisher* 🙂
It’s going to become a bookmark whenever I get around to reading a book again!
Then there was a cute little selection of buttons
The three that are very difficult to see (sorry, my borrowed camera doesn’t like focusing, clearly!) are a clock, a keyring with three keys on, and a love thing. I think my favourite is the keys, and I already have a plan (now just to wait for someone I know to but a house!)
There was also some lace trimming
which, again, is very difficult to photograph! I’m thinking I’ll probably use this for finishing various cross stitches in some way- any ideas?
Lastly (and certainly not least!) was some really yummy yarn, which the camera just refused to photograph properly! It’s a dark bright purple (which sounds crazy when typed!) and it’s a mohair imitation (I think) and it is probably the squidyist yarn I’ve ever fondled! I’m thinking that it is going to become a cuff of a pair of gloves, or maybe some handwarmers!
I feel very lucky to have won this (thanks *Wisher*!) and so I have decided that when my tax return comes in… I’ll hold a giveaway myself. Since by then we will be heading into Summer rather than Sprig, it will be more summer-themed. More on that when I get some idea when to expect it!
I’m very lucky that this parcel arrived in time for this post, as I haven’t done any crafty thing worth photographing! I cast on for the new size of Cthulhu mittens (I have just over two weeks now to finish them) but the needles aren’t co-operating, so I’m going to get a fixed size tomorrow, when I pop into town, and at the same time pick up another ball of yarn,as I’m definitely going to run out now! I’ve also done some knitting on my socks, but it needs frogging, so there’s not much point photographing that!
Hopefully the weather is as good where you are as it is being here!
